What it does
Track local competitors on a saved watchlist and compare each business's available public evidence.
A competitor's higher review count needs context: the business, the location, the date it was measured and what you could do differently.
What the workspace includes
A saved watchlist of relevant local businesses
Public ratings, review counts, and available profile observations
Competitors found in collected local search results
Source and freshness cues for comparisons

Who it fits
Local businesses comparing similar services in the same market
Owners who want to focus on a short, relevant watchlist
When another solution may fit better
Private competitor revenue, customer lists, or advertising spend
Market-share estimates based only on review counts
How you would use it
Choose real alternatives: Track the businesses a customer would reasonably consider instead of yours.
Check the evidence: Compare matching locations and current observations. A manually added business may not have metrics yet.
Choose one improvement: Use a concrete gap in service information, reviews, or visibility to decide your next action.
Data, connections, and automation
Available public business profiles, saved competitor identities, and measured map observations. Missing values stay missing rather than becoming zero.
Discovery and refresh require the account’s configured providers and scheduler. A watchlist entry alone does not prove a fresh scan completed.
Cost and eligibility
This tool has no additional software charge when it is listed as included in your eligible BlueFinch merchant package. Have BlueFinch confirm access, connected services and usage limits in writing. Payment processing and account-specific charges are separate.
For eligible U.S. BlueFinch merchant accounts with this tool enabled. A demo does not activate service or confirm your account’s access.
Availability: Merchant account. Service area: Eligible businesses in the United States.
A local profile comparison is different from an enterprise competitive-intelligence subscription. Match the data sources and update frequency before comparing prices.
Limits to know
No access to a competitor’s private accounting or payments.
Similar names can refer to different locations; review identities before drawing conclusions.
Public activity and search visibility do not establish sales, profit, or market share.
Example workflow
A med spa sees that nearby alternatives explain treatment preparation clearly. It checks its own service pages for missing practical information rather than copying unsupported treatment claims.
Questions before you start
Can I choose my own competitors? The account workspace supports a saved competitor watchlist alongside discovered businesses. Correct business and location identity matter.
Will I see their sales? No. Public profile and search observations are not private sales data.
How do I get this for my business? Ask your BlueFinch representative to confirm eligibility, included features, any extra charges, and setup requirements in writing. Existing customers can check their account; new customers can request a business review.
