0s: Use settled card sales and every processor-assessed charge from the same complete statement period.

6s: The first illustrative statement has $85,000 in card sales and $2,975 in fees. $2,975 ÷ $85,000 × 100 = 3.50%.

13s: Include every processing charge, not just the quoted rate. Change total processing charges to $4,250 while keeping sales at $85,000.

20s: The all-in effective rate becomes 5.00%. The quoted percentage is only one part of the total cost.

27s: Enter your own statement figures in the free calculator. These are illustrative numbers, not a merchant result or a savings quote.
