Enhanced-data evidence checklist
Keep program eligibility, invoice fields and qualification evidence distinct.
No signup. Enter reference codes, add records and download a CSV. Entries stay in the browser tab. Filled fields do not establish completion, approval or compliance.
| Network and program | Account eligibility evidence | Invoice field | Source system reference | Transmission evidence | Qualification evidence | Unresolved question |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Visa CEDP review | Provider confirmation needed | Actual invoice reference | ERP-example | Confirm field mapping and settlement qualification |
- Starting rows are fictional. Use internal references, not personal or confidential records.
- Missing required fields stay visible. Filled fields do not prove approval, compatibility or legal compliance.
- Download the CSV to approved business storage. Reloading clears your browser edits.
- API acceptance does not establish interchange qualification. Do not invent tax values or merchandise codes.

A commercial buyer's card does not produce a lower machine-shop processing cost simply because your invoice lists a purchase order. Enhanced-data programs require eligible transactions and the correct information reaching the processor. Ask which current program applies, which data your payment system sends and how the provider proves a transaction received the expected treatment.
The search term Level 2 or Level 3 processing now needs a current explanation. Stripe's payment line-item documentation states Visa Level 2 ended in April 2026. Visa's enhanced-data savings use Product 3 through its Commercial Enhanced Data Program. Mastercard has its own Level 2 and Level 3 requirements. Do not describe yesterday's Visa Level 2 setup as a current universal saving opportunity.

Confirm the current program and account
Stripe describes here how line-item benefits for eligible commercial cards can be implemented under an interchange-plus arrangement. Note that the requirements for commercial cards on the Visa, MasterCard and other networks differ, and also depend on the card type, the merchant category code (MCC), and the data that is transmitted by the merchant. These are Stripe’s published implementation conditions, not a guarantee of support by BlueFinch for any particular merchant account.
Use the enhanced-data evidence worksheet to record the network and program, eligibility response, field mapping, transmission proof and unresolved test. The sheet checks for missing information and exports your register. Complete fields do not establish eligibility. A screenshot of a detailed invoice is insufficient when the processor receives only a total amount and a generic payment reference. Start with purchase-order invoice mapping so your payment fields refer to the correct buyer and order.

Map genuine invoice values
Pick a representative commercial invoice using internal references. Compare its order reference, quantity, unit cost, product code and unit of measure with the required processor fields. Verify the correct tax amount, including accurate zero where applicable. Do not invent tax, product codes or quantities to force a transaction into a qualification. Your commercial invoice and transmitted data should describe the actual sale.
Map the fields of the purchase order from your invoice to the corresponding fields of the payment. You may find that the PO# is never actually sent in the payment. So if your supplier gave you a long list of fields to map in order to qualify, verify which API or gateway you are using and who set up the mapping.

Test transmission without assuming qualification
For a fictional test, the invoice has an order reference and line-item quantities, but the provider has supplied no transmission evidence. The worksheet leaves that evidence field blank. The missing-field output directs the owner to request the payment record, not to declare the setup complete. This example represents a documentation gap, not a rejected payment or a real merchant's qualification result.
Verify the interchange savings with your provider after you test the data. Check if the agreed program and processing fees include all the eligible interchange savings. Note that a fixed blended rate will not decrease automatically with changing underlying interchange rates. Compare the total amount that you are charged for qualified and non-qualified transactions within the scope of the written agreement.

Compare forecasts with settlement evidence
Avoid guaranteed percentages in the purchasing decision. Buyer card type, transaction characteristics and provider pricing affect the outcome. Ask for a written explanation of any forecast and verify it against actual completed transactions. A successful payment authorization is not proof of a particular interchange category. Keep qualification evidence separate from the ordinary paid status in your invoice system.
Maintain the data in the invoice record with the same person that sets up the data. The descriptions and units for products will change as the shop changes and adds new jobs. Qualifying a machining quote that has setup, material and multiple part lines will require a supported mapping of these lines. Also, be sure to find out how corrections, partial payments and refunds are processed as part of the data project. Follow the guide to protect confidential machining records before sharing a test export with another supplier.

Document unresolved eligibility
BlueFinch reviews commercial payment needs with owner-run machine shops. Ask about actual enhanced-data availability, pricing and integration before including savings in your budget. This article does not advertise a BlueFinch connection to Stripe or support for every network program. The worksheet gives your provider a specific evidence request and leaves unsupported claims visible.
The completed field map and dated test evidence should be stored with the approved payment method. These documents need to be reviewed each time the gateway, invoice software or even the network program are modified. Your staff must then be able to determine whether each field is merely shown on the invoice or if it has actually been sent with the payment.
