Read the whole proposal
A 0% merchant rate on eligible credit-card sales does not mean your account bill is zero. Compare all monthly costs, payment methods and written terms for your business.
BlueFinch's published offer includes a standalone terminal with no equipment lease, long-term contract or cancellation fee. Account approval and the exact payment program are still subject to the written agreement.
Who charges what
Interchange moves between the acquiring and issuing banks. It helps determine the price of your merchant account; you do not pay it separately to the cardholder's bank. Assessments are card-network charges. Processor markup is the added charge for processing services; it can be a percentage, a per-payment amount, a subscription or a combination.
Do not add these costs again if your quoted rate already includes them. The proposal should name the advisor, processor and other contracting parties, identify who bills each fee, and explain who handles funding and support. Your total merchant cost is not the same as BlueFinch's compensation.
BlueFinch markup and compensation
This page does not publish a single BlueFinch markup that applies to every account. Your written proposal must identify the applicable markup or service charges and whether they are already included in the quoted price. Do not read an unlisted markup as 0% or add it twice.
BlueFinch receives revenue from the processing relationship. Ask your advisor to explain how BlueFinch is paid under your proposed arrangement, which charges you pay directly and which party bills them. A customer-paid card-price difference is not automatically all BlueFinch income.
What the 0% merchant rate means
Under an approved dual-pricing program, a customer choosing a credit card pays the posted card price. The customer-paid difference is not money that simply disappears from the transaction. Compare both the owner's remaining costs and the customer's checkout experience.
Do not apply a credit-card example to every debit, keyed, online or alternative payment. Ask for the specific treatment of each method you accept.
Charges to verify, line by line
Ask your advisor to mark each item as included, separately charged, conditional or not applicable. A blank fee is not evidence that the fee is zero.
Text-to-pay sends a customer a payment link; it is not a separate card type. Confirm the applicable online or card-not-present price, plus any messaging, gateway or link-service charge. Do not apply a counter-payment rate just because staff sent the link from the counter.

What the toolbox costs
Your eligible merchant account's offer may include tools with no additional software subscription charge. That does not make processing, optional third-party services, domains or custom work free for everyone.
Before cancelling a subscription, check which tools are enabled for your account, their connections and refresh limits, and any beta restrictions.
Compare the same month
Give every proposal the same settled card volume, transaction count, card mix and channels. Include all remaining fixed and variable fees, then subtract the complete proposed cost from your complete current cost. Keep transition costs separate.
Your quote needs your business details and current statements. The examples on this site are not a final proposal for your business.
