Illustrative example inputs
These starting values show how the math works. They are not industry averages, customer results or a quote.
| Input | Example value |
|---|---|
Eligible customers in the campaign cohort Distinct customers after documented eligibility and exclusions. | 120 |
Recorded reached customers from this cohort Use your stated reached-contact definition consistently. | 90 |
Customers with qualifying fully paid jobs Count each customer once, not vehicles, deposits or invoice lines. | 6 |
Selected campaign costs Entered software, messages, staff or creative expenses. Not a BlueFinch quote. | $390.00 |
Selected qualifying-job revenue Revenue for the qualifying fully paid jobs under your defined method. | $21,000.00 |
Selected qualifying-job variable costs Avoid including expenses already counted as campaign cost. | $15,000.00 |
Example results

Paid-outcome share of reached customers A reached-contact denominator, not campaign causality. | 6.67% |
Selected campaign cost per paid-outcome customer Unavailable when no customers have qualifying fully paid jobs. | $65.00 |
Calculation detail
| Measure | Result |
|---|---|
| Selected job contribution before campaign costs | $6,000.00 |
| Selected contribution after campaign costs | $5,610.00 |
| Eligible customers not recorded as reached | 30 |

Model assumptions
- One eligibility rule, campaign period and observation date apply.
- Each count represents distinct customers from the same nested cohort.
- Fully paid jobs are verified from your actual invoice/payment records.
- Money fields cover only the defined qualifying jobs and selected expenses.
- Recorded associations are not proof of incremental campaign sales.
Read alongside these results
- Selected contribution excludes other expenses and is not net profit.
- Revenue attribution and customer-level outcomes require actual record review.

A reactivation campaign gets replies from old wrap customers. Some ask about coverage, some request artwork changes and a few pay for another job. Count those outcomes separately. The campaign needs a defined customer group and observation date before the office turns message activity into a sales result.
This tool follows one eligible customer cohort through recorded reached contacts and fully paid qualifying jobs. Its starting numbers are illustrative. Count each customer once in these fields, even when that customer has several vehicles. The results describe recorded associations and selected costs. They do not establish additional sales caused by the campaign.

Define the list before recording outcomes
Record your campaign purpose, qualifying customer rule, contact method and observation date before sending messages. Remove duplicates and apply the relevant preferences and suppression records in your business system. Exclude ineligible customers from the denominator. An old customer record is not permission to send a promotional text or email.
The FTC’s CAN-SPAM guide explains commercial-email obligations and how message purpose matters. Review the applicable channel requirements before launch. A service-support exchange and a promotional reactivation offer deserve separate handling. Do not rely on an earlier installation invoice as blanket approval for every future marketing channel.

Decide what fully paid means for this report
Use your actual invoice and payment records to identify qualifying jobs fully paid by the observation date. A reply is not an accepted order. A deposit is not necessarily the final balance. Keep accepted projects awaiting completion or final collection visible outside the fully paid outcome count. Document adjustments and exclusions in the report method.
Count customers with at least one qualifying fully paid job, not vehicles or invoice lines. Sum the selected qualifying-job revenue and variable costs separately for those outcomes. When one customer pays for three vehicles, the customer count stays one. The corresponding job totals belong in the money fields under your stated reporting method.
Read the example using both denominators
The fictional campaign has 120 eligible customers, 90 recorded reached contacts and six customers with fully paid qualifying jobs. Six divided by 120 is a 5 percent paid-outcome share of the eligible cohort. Six divided by 90 is about 6.67 percent of reached contacts. Neither denominator establishes whether the customer would have returned without the campaign.
Selected campaign costs of $390 allocate to $65 per recorded paid-outcome customer. The selected qualifying jobs have $21,000 of revenue and $15,000 of variable costs, leaving $6,000 before campaign costs. Subtracting the entered campaign cost leaves $5,610 before other expenses. These figures are illustrative contribution calculations, not net profit or a BlueFinch quote.
Keep campaign labels attached to business evidence
Google Analytics documents campaign URL labels such as utm_source and utm_campaign. Use consistent names in links you control and retain the source rule in the campaign record. A tagged visit does not automatically identify a customer or a fully paid job. Verify the connection between website activity and authorized project records before reporting outcomes.
Keep sensitive customer, payment and artwork information out of public tracking parameters. Use a campaign code instead. The downloaded report contains the totals you enter and their definitions, not live customer records. Where source linkage is uncertain, report the limitation. Do not credit every returning customer to the last message sent.

Review costs and the next cohort together
Enter the campaign expenses you chose to include: software, permitted messaging, selected staff time or approved creative costs. Avoid double-counting an expense in both campaign and job costs. With zero fully paid outcomes, cost per outcome is unavailable. A negative contribution scenario stays negative so the owner sees the actual selected-cost relationship.
BlueFinch’s customer loyalty service is an optional paid add-on, and the dashboard is an owner workspace. Neither description promises a native wrap CRM connection or automatically attributed campaign revenue. Download the report for a review of your real source records, eligible list and cost scope before choosing another campaign or changing the offer.
